This 2.7-mile path, along the sidewalks of Independence was Harry S. Truman’s favorite route. The 43 plaques embedded in sidewalks along the way tell much about the man and his hometown. Brochures are available at key points along the route, as well as at the Visitor Experience Centers at the historic Truman Courthouse and the Independence Chamber of Commerce.
