The Brick Cellar Estate (formerly Vallet House), located in Hermann, is named to the State of Missouri and Federal Registries of Historic Places.
This stately brick home, built in 1843 by the Vallet family, was one of the first built along the Missouri River in beautiful Hermann. The Vallets were successful brickmakers and, in the early 1900s, were considered to be at the forefront of the Hermann wine industry.
In the Fall of 1864, during the Civil War, General Marmaduke laid siege to Hermann, and his officers took up residence at the Vallet House. The home and grounds have since been updated with modern conveniences while retaining the historic character of the original house.
Today, the home and grounds are available for nightly rental for up to 14 guests. There is a full kitchen and five bathrooms along with a dining room that seats 16, and guests have full use of the house.
The Brick Cellar Estate can be rented directly through our website, on Air BnB or VRBO. We hope to see you soon!
