St. Louis Theatre Group Brings “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” to Life

Hermann Farm is delighted to host a lively outdoor performance of The Two Gentlemen of Verona, paying homage to William Shakespeare’s infamous romantic comedy.
One of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies which set a foundation for later Shakespearian themes, The Two Gentlemen of Verona explores themes of camaraderie, love, and betrayal through the story of two friends, Valentine and Proteus, who fall for the same woman, Silvia. The performance is described by the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival as “An original rom-com about friendship, forgiveness, and the hilarious messiness of growing up”.
The performance is presented by TourCo, the traveling arm of the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival. Artistic Director Tom Ridgley says Hermann has been “a highlight every year” since the tour began in 2021.
General Admission is FREE
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Food, wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. No outside food or alcohol permitted.
