Springfield Contemporary Theatre presents a wide variety of year-round productions. SCT provides patrons with a premiere theatre experience producing new award-winning plays and musicals as well as new takes on some classic works. Productions at SCT are characterized by bold stories, voices and perspectives often not heard on stage, and themes and ideas that are timely to the Springfield community and the world around us. SCT’s programming includes cutting-edge new works and regional premieres, with some materials brought directly from the Broadway and Off-Broadway stage.
SCT is dedicated to the production of contemporary works and works that can be re-energized through a contemporary view and through an intimate staging while using outstanding directors, local actors and guest professionals throughout the season. SCT is currently the resident company of the Historic Fox Theatre in Springfield, Missouri.
