WILLOW SPRING MERCANTILEYour adventure begins in this unique downtown Excelsior Springs mercantile established by Jim and Daphne Bowman in 2005. Willow Spring boasts the state’s largest selection of Missouri wines, craft beers and distilled spirits. Enjoy brunch paired with Missouri-made wines in their exquisite wine cellar bistro. Brunch includes made-from-scratch ham and vegetable quiche, spinach salad with fresh berries and fresh fruit. A chocolate cappuccino brownie is served for dessert.
FENCE STILE WINERY Second up, Fence Stile, is situated on 55 acres of land and has eight varieties of grapes making up 10 acres of vineyards. The estate winery focuses on making dry and semi-dry wines and has a couple of sweet wines to offer as well. The state-of-the-art winery is located underground adjacent to the wine caves where the wine barrels are stored. Tours of the winery and wine caves are available which include an extensive tasting of the wines with the winemaker. Fence Stile is also a distillery crafting small-batch spirits branded as Nyx Spirits. Guests can enjoy wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, mimosas and sangrias while they enjoy live music, movies on the patio, firepit Fridays, yoga, food and wine pairings, and many more seasonal activities. Indoor and outdoor space is available.
VAN TILL FAMILY FARM WINERY Your next destination is an enjoyable 15-minute trolley ride to beautiful and scenic Rayville. Here, you will visit the Van Till family known for their warm hospitality, Country garden setting, great wine, and wood-fired oven pizza. Order ahead sheets will be on the trolley ready for you to place your orders. (NOT included in ticket price.)
SHAMROCK HILLS VINEYARD & WINERYYour last stop is Excelsior’s newest winery venue.Your taste buds will be delighted with the award-winning Four Horses and a Dog wines and the Irish-themed hospitality experience where you are treated as family. Owners Mike and Denise Riley, along with the entire Shamrock Hills staff, look forward to continuing the legacy that “Four Horses and a Dog Vineyard and Winery” established back in 2008. The Rileys will be planting their first four acres of vines in the spring of 2023 and look forward to producing wines of their own in the future.
