Tribute To Veterans Memorial features a statue of a woman and child gazing at a Battlefield Cross as a tribute to the Fallen and Gold Star Families; a red granite wall honoring 72 Warren County servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country from WWI to present; and the United States Flag, POW/MIA and Service Flags encircled with a Walk of Honor of pavers and benches from all service branches. This beautiful memorial is located on the Purple Heart Trail, along Interstate 70 at Warrenton, Missouri. Dedicated November 4, 2018, so that we may never forget to show honor and respect to all who have served.
On May 27, 2024, Warrenton received a permanent replica of the Charters of Freedom at the Tribute to Veterans Memorial.
This setting, the very first of its kind in Missouri, includes full-scale replicas of the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Each Charters of Freedom setting also contains a vault that will eventually hold a time capsule. All time capsules in the entire country will be opened on Sept. 17, 2087 — the Constitution’s 300th Anniversary.
