The famed outdoor theatre production returns for the 2014 season. See Harold Bell Wright's world-famous Shepherd of the Hills, brought to life under the stars in Branson by more than 80 cast members, with 40 horses, a real-life burning log cabin, guns and an authentic 1908 DeWitt automobile.
During intermission, the entire audience is invited to join the cast onstage for a square dance hoedown.
Although the tale is a love story, it also involves the mysterious shepherd, who wanders the hills and has lasting effect on the people. It is about redemption, forgiveness and love. The fourth most widely read book in publishing history, Shepherd of the Hills has sold millions of copies.
The opens May 23, 2014. The schedule runs four nights a week during the summer and Friday and Saturday only, September and October. (Some special performance dates may be scheduled.)
