State-of-the-art exhibits explore American military history through the lens of St. Louis, from the Revolutionary War to more recent conflicts. The 1938 Art Deco building was constructed as a WWI memorial.

Outside, the Court of Honor includes memorials to St. Louisans who perished in WWII, Vietnam and Korea.
