Puppetry Arts Institute is a full-service museum, theater and puppetry center which offers puppet-making workshops, monthly puppet shows, puppet repair and demonstrations by professional puppeteers. Our Mission: To preserve and promote puppetry through education and entertainment for all ages. The museum includes rotating exhibits and permanent collections. Museum admission: $3; younger than 16, $1.50.The gift shop sells different styles of puppets and marionettes, toys and professional puppets, puppet-related merchandise, and puppet parts.

Our create-a-puppet workshop is available daily during business hours, and is a great trip for school or homeschool groups, girl and boy scouts, family outings, seniors, birthday parties or artists. The workshops cost $8 per puppet, and the end result is a high quality hand puppet, customized by each visitor. Guests are encouraged to try out their new puppet on a professional hand puppet stage with spotlights and curtains. Marionette workshops are also available, but reservations must be made ahead of time. The cost of a marionette workshop is $45. The puppet-making workshop fees also include admission to the museum.

Visit our website, or call for details, for workshop information and performance schedules.
