This park is home to two spectacular show caves: Onondaga Cave and Cathedral Cave, the former of which is a National Natural Landmark. Tours of both caves are offered seasonally. The visitor center, which houses the park store, is open during the cave tour season.
The park also has a campground, two picnic shelters, and two access points on the Meramec River. These features are open year-round. Watercraft rentals are not available within the park but are available nearby.
Admission to the park grounds and visitor center is free; fees are charged for cave tours and camping. Much of the park is ADA compliant, but the caves are not wheelchair accessible. Pets are allowed outside but not in the caves.
The visitor center is 7 miles southeast of Interstate 44 on Route H. Check the website for information about tour seasons and fees, as well as special events.
