Marlin Perkins Statue

A statue in the center of Central Park, represents Marlin Perkins, born in Carthage in the year 1902. Marlin was a renowned zoologist and pioneering TV personality for wildlife documentaries. He is best known for hosting Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom 1963-1985. The statue was dedicated to him in April of 1988. People come from all around to take pictures with the statue and see the inspiring soul he was.
