At 562 feet, this century-old footbridge is the country’s longest. Completely restored by the City for $750,000 just in time for its 2002 centennial, train watching from her sturdy decking continues to attract sightseers from all over the world. Double decker trains glide by on 13 sets of tracks below. Lit at night, locals refer to it as Springfield’s largest (and coolest) public art sculpture.
