Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site

This mansion, built in 1859, is typical of pre-Civil War Mississippi River plantations. It contains 15 rooms; nine fireplaces; 80% of Amanda Hunter’s original furniture, which may be the largest collection of Mitchell-Rammelsburg furniture in the United States; and historic documents.
