Bistro at the Mill

Bistro at the Mill is a casual quick-serve restaurant featuring freshly prepared traditional and non-traditional sandwiches, salads and soups. Although the Bistro offers modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and running water, the interior finishes and features highlight the 100 + year old history of the Gerald Roller Mill. The Bistro at the Mill is also proud to offer a unique made-in-Missouri line of products. Featured Made in Missouri items include wine, moonshine, whiskey, cheese, jellies and artisan gift items. Thank you for visiting the Gerald Roller Mill's Bistro at the Mill.

The Gerald Roller Mill was established in 1903 and was quickly recognized as a trade hub and catalyst for the growth of Gerald, Missouri and surrounding communities. In addition to the economic impact of the mill itself, the Roller Mill and its founder Gustave Helling provided not only innovation and technological advancement to the Roller Mill but for Gerald, Missouri. The greatest advancement being the installation of a power plant, which provided electricity to the Roller Mill, the Helling family homes and the first electric street lights for the city of Gerald, Missouri.

The Historic Roller Mill was rediscovered by the granddaughter of Gustave Helling in the spring of 2014. Upon laying her eyes on what was once the source of family pride and robust regional trade, she felt it was her responsibility to ensure that the Historic Gerald Roller Mill be reclaimed and showcased for current and future generations to experience. Staying true to this new mission, the Gerald Roller Mill was acquired and revitalization began in the winter of 2014. The vision has now come to life with the opening of Bistro at the Mill.
