First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site
This building housed Missouri's first state government from 1821 until 1826, before Jefferson City became the capital. Governmental chambers, a residence, the governor's office and a dry goods store have been restored. Exhibits and tours are available. The visitor center is free. Tours: $4.50; ages 6-12, $3; younger than 6, free.
