Danner Park, officially known as Daryl Danner Memorial Park, is Chillicothe’s largest recreational space, spanning nearly 40 acres on Trenton Road. Renowned as a premier sports complex in north-central Missouri, it features three lighted ball fields — including an NCAA-regulation baseball diamond — eight tennis courts, three sand volleyball courts, two basketball courts and a soccer field. The park hosts numerous high school and regional tournaments throughout the year. Beyond athletics, visitors can enjoy a three-quarter-mile lighted walking trail, a newly installed accessible playground and two lighted pavilions perfect for gatherings. Recent improvements include refurbished tennis courts and upgraded parking facilities, enhancing the park’s appeal as a community hub for both sports and leisure.
