On average, more than 278 million gallons of water flow from Big Spring each day, making it one of America’s largest springs.The Big Spring Historic District was a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) project in the 1930s during the Great Depression. Today it has many of the original stone structures the CCC built years ago.Enjoy hiking, fishing, camping and picnicking. Four miles south of Van Buren.The spring, which is part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, feeds the Current River.
