The Barry County Museum exhibits a wide range of items, on a rotating basis, related to the historical and cultural identity of the Ozarks and Barry County. The Barry County Museum also houses the Fields’ Photo Archives, containing more than 1 million original negatives of the families and places of Barry County. Located on the museum grounds are the one-room Black School House, the Edens Cabin, and catch-and-release pond. The Barry County Museum also publishes the Lifetimes of Memories oral history series, which, as of April of 2011, includes 14 volumes of history through the remembrances of men and women who have made their homes in Barry County, Missouri. Admission is free.
