Watkins Mill has basic, electric and family campsites. Each site has a graveled parking pad, a picnic table, fire ring and a lantern hook. Some sites are wheelchair accessible. Facilities include water, two showerhouses and a laundry facility. There is a dump station. A special-use area is also available.
Tours of the 19th-century Woolen Mill and Watkins home are offered. A living history farm program is held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the summer. The site features a visitor center and museum with exhibits and an audio-visual room. Picnicking, fishing, a bicycle trail around a lake and hiking and equestrian trails are available.
