The park offers 19 rustic cabins, most with a kitchen, full bathroom, heating and A/C, an outside grill, a fire pit and a picnic table. Available April through mid-November.
The park, named for a former Missouri governor, dates to the 1920s. It encompasses 5,323 acres of the St. Francois Mountains. It features trails, canoeing, a nature center, a store and grill, camping, and picnicking in a scenic setting.
