A. Broadway Diner – Columbia
Start your day in Columbia at this small, but legendary, diner, known for its old-fashioned comfort food. The diner's most popular dish, The Stretch, is a mound of hash browns smothered in chili, covered with eggs, topped with cheese, onions and green peppers.
B. Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
After a big meal at Broadway Diner, take a relaxing walk at Rock Bridge State Park. While there, take note of fascinating geologic formations, including Devil's Icebox Cave, the seventh longest in Missouri. The park is located five miles south of Columbia.
If you're in the mood for an after-breakfast stroll but don't want to stay closer to downtown, this park is for you. Bordered by the Flat Branch Creek, it features a gazebo, landscaping, historic markers and green space. The south end of the park has a suspension bridge, seating areas, and public art.
