Canoeing, kayaking or rafting down a river or stream in the Ozarks offers some of the most scenic outdoor adventure in the Show-Me State. Float trips range from an hour to several days, so don your life jacket and get on the water for a relaxing getaway.

Morning

A. Route 66 Canoe Rental

Located off of Historic Route 66, Route 66 Canoe offers canoe, raft, tube, kayak and Jon boat rentals on the Big Piney and Gasconade rivers.

B. Bass’ River Resort Canoe Outfitters

This is a one-stop destination for outdoor fun. Enjoy some of the best floating available on canoes, rafts, kayaks and tubes. Bass’ is one of the best canoe trips outfitters in the state. Select from three rivers: the Courtois, the Huzzah and the Meramec. Floats of six, seven and 13 miles are available. The resort includes riverside camping and RV sites, a country store and cafe, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities.

C. Akers Ferry Canoe Rental

Have a happy day in a canoe, kayak, inner tube or small raft on the Current River and Jacks Fork River. This area is the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, the first national park designated for the protection of a scenic rivers system. Take a break from your lake vacation and try some of the Ozark’s best canoe trips and float trips in Missouri.

Evening

A. Laundry House Bed and Breakfast @ Arcadia Academy

You've been outdoors all day, now enjoy this 1889 bed and breakfast inn. A full breakfast is served. Relax in the outdoor hot-tub; take an olde-time carriage ride; stroll to the grounds of this inn, which is in the beautiful Arcadia Valley. The property is on the National Register of Historic Places.

B. Bearcat Mountain Cabins and Lodge

After a day of adventure on the water, relax at this secluded inn. The log cabin has a European style, two-story fireplace; indoor Jacuzzi brand tub; outdoor hot tub; and a large front porch. Facility includes half-a-mile of private Black River riverfront; canoe float trips; live entertainment (weekends); outdoor hot tub. All units have kitchen and bathroom.

Afternoon

A. Franklin Floats

Rent canoes, kayaks and rafts at this outfitter in Lesterville and float the Upper Black River. Facilities include: shuttle service; a general store; campground; firewood; picnic tables; and hot showers.

B. Eminence Cottages and Camp

Canoe, kayak and tube rentals for a relaxing float on the Jacks Fork River and the Current River. They have camping and RV sites; cabins; shuttles; hiking trails; and sightseeing. Located in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways national park.

C. KC’s on the Current

KC's offers family friendly float trips on the crystal clear waters of the lower Current River. Discounts are available for large groups. Canoe float trips and raft float trips range from three hours to a full day. Pack a picnic lunch and stop along the way on one of the many gravel-bars. Their floating season is Memorial Day thru Labor Day.
