Augusta Viticulture Area

Augusta was the first federally designated viticulture area in the United States. The area around Augusta, including the villages of Defiance, Dutzow and Marthasville, encompasses several bed and breakfast inns, boutique shops, a microbrewery and excellent wineries where guests can savor award winning Missouri wines while enjoying a picnic lunch, live music and great views.

A. Blumenhof Winery

Blumenhof is German for Court of Flowers, named after the Blumenberg's ancestral farm in Germany. Blumenhof specializes in making award-winning wine from locally-grown grapes - grown within 60 miles of the winery. Enjoy estate bottled wines made by the Blumenberg family since 1986.

B. Augusta Winery

Augusta Winery features a year-round tasting room, gift shop, and a covered terraces. The Wine and Beer Garden is open April through October with free, live music on the weekends.

A. H.S. Clay House Bed and Breakfast

Circa 1867 cottage and 1885 Victorian house, both decorated with unusual antiques. Located four blocks from the Katy Trail, wineries, micro-brewery, shops, massage therapy, history museum and restaurants.
