A unique summer event hosted by Millers Rustic Sawmill this summer in King City, MO. Millers Rustic Sawmill is bringing you the second annual SAWDUST FEST on June 17 beginning at 8 a.m. We are a small business located in Northwest Missouri. We specialize in kiln dried, hardwood, live edge slabs. Our business is based around live edge wood, custom builds and rustic designs. Many of our customers are talented artisans. We thought it would be a fun thing to bring some of our artisan customers to our town and have them demonstrate the creative skills they use as well as inspire others who might want to try a creative form of making something with wood. SAWDUST FEST will be a celebration of Missouri makers who use their hands to create a little sawdust while making beautiful, unique pieces of art.
We will be hosting several guest demonstrators from Missouri such as TJ Jenkins, a chainsaw artist from Weston, MO. We will also have a scroll saw artist, a luthier, a raku firing demonstration, a pyrographer, a hand painting artist, a knife maker and a few more makers. Our event will include the popular Belt Sander race where racers will have the chance to run their belt sander down a 100ft track to beat their competition. The event will feature a best and worst beard contest and a family friendly atmosphere with other related activities. The local shops on our Main Street will be open to roam through!
This event is a great way to spend the day in King City, MO! It’s a great day trip and a unique event for Fathers Day weekend. Stanberry, MO sits just up the road and will hold an incredible Fathers Day Car Show on Sunday, June 18!
We have planned a private VIP Kick Off party for June 16 with a catered dinner and live music (tickets are required and must be purchased by June 1, 2023). The VIP event sold out fast last year!!
If you are looking for a weekend full of small town fun you can find it June 16, 17 and 18 in rural Northwest Missouri.
