Every August, downtown Lamar comes alive with the excitement of Missouri’s largest free fair, now celebrating its 83rd year. With free parking and admission, the Lamar Fair offers family-friendly fun and tradition. Visitors can enjoy thrilling carnival rides, a wide variety of vendors, concerts and booths hosted by community and civic groups serving up all your favorite carnival foods.
The fair also features a youth livestock show, an art show, blue ribbon contests, parades and entertainment for all ages. It’s a celebration of community spirit and small-town charm that brings people together year after year.
