We’re “Kickin’ It Slavic Style” at the 2026 Sugar Creek Slavic Festival Friday, June 12th (5 to 11 p.m.) and Saturday, June 13th (Noon to 11 p.m.). In its 40th year, the Sugar Creek Slavic Festival is rated as one of the best in the U.S.

The family-friendly event celebrates Kansas City’s rich Slavic heritage with two days of traditional food, music, dance, drink, folk art, fashion and more. Sugar Creek is located just east of Kansas City, Missouri. Admission is $7 for adults, and children 12 and under are free.

Grammy nominee, Alex Meixner, headlines the entertainment on Friday and Saturday with regional and local acts performing all weekend long.  Plus, for 2026 we’ll have soccer-themed contests as part of the Kansas City’s World Cup celebration including the Cabbage Cup and Red Card Dance off.
