Gillioz Jazz Festival, Day 1 – Friday, April 4

The weekend festivities begin with the Gillioz April Artwalk from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. In cooperation with the Smithsonian Institution, you’ll experience images of jazz masters and a playlist of those artists to enhance the experience. The gallery on the second floor will showcase Gillioz resident companies including the Ozark Lyric Opera, Missouri Jazz Orchestra, Mosaic Arts Collective and the Southwest Film Office. Concessions are available here to enhance your interactions.
Explore THETHIRDFLOOR – where additional resident companies SATO48 hosts independent short film screenings and Two Black Ravens Foundation curates a new art exhibit and opportunities to interact with the artist.
Gillioz Jazz Festival, Day 2 – Saturday, April 5

The historic Gillioz lobby becomes the Gillioz Jazz Cafe’ showcasing regional talent rotations from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A premium bar and food truck with offerings from Tortuga Tortas will be available.
The Gallery at the Gillioz will host a special VIP event at 6:30 p.m. with an exclusive program and a meal from Infused Catering prior to seeing John Pizzarelli and MOJO take the historic Gillioz stage at 8:00 p.m. The VIP event includes reserved seating, front and center for the Pizzarelli/MOJO Concert. Seating is limited to this special event. This portion of the Gillioz Jazz Festival requires a ticket.
The Wizard of Oz, Day 3 – Sunday, April 6

To culminate a weekend of significant jazz influences, we’re hosting a FREE showing of the 1939 family classic, “The Wizard of Oz.” Walk the yellow brick road for yourself and experience the timeless musical film on the big screen. Kansas farm-girl Dorothy embarks on an adventure with a cast of characters that ultimately reminds us all that “there’s no place like home!”
