First Day Hike – St. Joe State Park

Past Event

Join St. Joe State Park staff as we start off the new year with a First Day Hike on Lakeview Trail. The majority of this trail consists of natural surfaces, such as dirt and rocks, but a two-tenths-of-a-mile section along Monsanto Lake is paved and accessible. Portions of the trail along the lake follow the contours with a few rolling hills. Other parts of the trail are somewhat steep with loose gravel. Overall, this will be an easy hike of about 1.25 miles.

This event is free and open to all ages. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks. The hike will begin at Shelter 6, located at Monsanto Lake.

For more information or to check the status of the hike, call the park office at 573-431-1069.

Registration for this event is required. Call the park office to register.
