Past Event

Join Bennett Spring State Park staff for a guided First Day Hike on Savanna Ride Trail. This 2.5-mile loop trail is considered easy, although it has some inclines and rocky and muddy surfaces. The hike will lead visitors along an open woodland burn unit and show the importance of prescribed fire in the park.

Participants should wear appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks as necessary. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash.

We will meet at the Savann Ridge/Natural Tunnel Trailhead parking lot. For more information or to check on the status of the hike, contact the park office at 417-532-4338.

This event is free and open to all ages. However, registration is required. A signup link will be available here:
