Fire in the Hole

Silver Dollar City theme park unveils an all new version of a park favorite in spring 2024. The reimagined Fire in the Hole family roller coaster – the largest indoor coaster in the Midwest – is double the size of the original ride, a Silver Dollar City staple since 1972. You’ll find the new $30 million ride in the park’s Fire District.

The Landing Current River

Surrounded by the beauty of the Ozarks, The Landing Current River in Van Buren has returned as a favorite float trip destination following a fire that destroyed the lodge’s main building in September 2021. The newly rebuilt facility features rooms with balconies overlooking the crystal clear Current River – part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. At the River Store, rent a canoe, kayak, raft or tube for float trips ranging from 4 to 17 miles. Relax at the end of the day with dinner at The Blue Heron restaurant.

Pennway Point and KC Wheel

Take in 360-degree views of Kansas City from the new KC Wheel, soaring 150 feet into the air. The Ferris wheel will operate 365 days a year and will be illuminated at night, adding more sparkle to the city’s skyline. The 36 enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas are wheelchair accessible.

The KC Wheel is part of Pennway Point, a new entertainment district located in a collection of reclaimed 20th century industrial buildings. When complete, the development will feature restaurants and bars, live entertainment venues, a mini golf course, city gardens and nostalgic neon lights. Activities will include outdoor volleyball, tailgating events, sports watch parties, outdoor movies and ice skating in the winter.

21c Museum Hotel St. Louis

Located downtown in the heart of St. Louis, the 21c Museum Hotel complements the area’s vibrant arts scene. The hotel is part of North America’s only multi-venue museum dedicated to 21stcentury art. Guest rooms feature original art, and rotating exhibits throughout the hotel display the work of today’s emerging artists. The museum area is open to the public 24 hours a days, seven days a week.
