There are several antique trails across Missouri featuring shops, malls, flea markets, country stores and B&Bs. Explore the city shops in St. Louis or Kansas City or hop in your car and visit the locations along Route 66. Wherever you choose to antique, there’s no shortage of thrifts and unique artifacts to add to your collection.

Northwest Missouri

Cherokee Antique Row – Dive into one of the oldest antique shopping districts in the Midwest, Cherokee Antique Row is a perfect afternoon getaway offering six blocks of antique, collectible and specialty shops; art galleries; and restaurants.

  • City Mouse Vintage: “Out with the new. In with the old.” Browse curated clothing spanning the ‘80s-2000s.
  • Elder’s Antiques: A family-owned antique store selling vintage furniture and pottery, as well as glassware and collectibles.Hammonds Books: This bookstore houses more than 80,000 rare, out-of-print and used books.
  • Riverside Antiques: Established in 1979, Riverside Antiques specializes in architectural elements plus an assortment of odd and unusual items.
  • Chesterfield Antique Mall: Find your own hidden treasure at Chesterfield Antique Mall. The store is full of talented vendors displaying items that have been found, refurbished and upcycled. When you visit, peruse the wide variety of furniture, home decor, jewelry and much more.
  • Warson Woods Antiques Gallery: With over 31,000 square feet of space and 100 large display booths, there’s plenty to find at Warson Woods Antiques Gallery. The gallery offers English, French and American furniture and accessories. There is also an impressive selection of vintage and estate jewelry.

Randolph Mercantile, Moberly: Located north of Columbia Randolph’s has everything from vintage furniture to wall decor. If you love Chip and Joanna Gaines, this is the store for you!

  • Artichoke Annie’s Antique Mall, Columbia – Make your way through the mazes of booths and interesting displays at Artichoke Annie’s. The antique mall boasts over 150 dealers with an inventory that changes daily. You never know what you’ll find!
  • Arrow Rock Shops – Located in a National Historic Landmark Village, browse the selection of antiques, home décor, candles, Killion pottery, dips and jellies at Arrow Rock Antiques & Mercantile. Also, check out the town’s Trading Post and experience the nostalgia of a store dating back to 1858. Stop in for lunch, and then shop the antiques and gift items. Be sure to check the hours for each business; hours vary.
  • Your Money’s Worth Antique Mall, Booneville – Fair prices and the vintage selections make Your Money’s Worth Antique Mall a must-stop for travelers along Interstate 70.
  • Sedalia Antique Shops – Sedalia has several shops to fill your weekend. Framed art, vintage clothing, primitives, flea market items and antique furniture are only a few of the things you’ll find when antique hunting in this city.

Route 66 Corridor

  • Lebanon Antique Trail – Easily accessible from Interstate 44, Lebanon features a string of antique stores, malls and markets. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or simply browsing for that special-to-you treasure, the trail has something for everyone.

    • Route 66 Antique Mall & Marketplace (located in Phillipsburg)
  • Relics Antique Mall, Springfield – Take a trip to Missouri’s largest antique mall. The 90,000-square-foot space features booths full of antiques and collectibles. Additionally, there is a large, very fun home décor section for the decorating enthusiasts. 
  • Cuba antique shops – The Mother Road passes right through Cuba and is also right off Interstate 44. Mary’s Country Store and Antiques is a spacious mall selling a variety of vintage and antique furniture, collectibles and new country store items. Two Olde Crows Antique Mall will give you “something to crow about.” Historical treasures ranging from authentic signs and advertising artifacts to primitives and glassware will make a great addition to your collection and home.
  • Rolla Antique Mall – Boasting over 23,000 square feet, Rolla Antique Mall sells an assortment of items: antiques, collectibles, country and farmhouse-themed decor, midcentury relics, and so much more.
  • River Run Trading Co., Devil’s Elbow – Head to historic Devil’s Elbow and explore River Run Trading Co. The quaint establishment provides unique and quality products, catering to customers’ diverse needs in a welcoming setting.

Kansas City Area

  • West Bottoms – An eclectic experience is just the beginning in West Bottoms, a historic neighborhood loved by antique shoppers and urban explorers. Plan to visit Good Ju Ju during the first Friday or Saturday of the month. While hours are limited, the visit is worth planning in advance. (There’s a reason the store has been recognized multiple times as one of “KC’s best” for antiquing.)
  • River Market Antiques is home to more than 175 dealers. Whatever you’re looking for, there’s a good chance you’ll find it in the four-story, 30,000-square-foot historic property. Before leaving, get a picture of the large mural of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, located on the west side of the building.
  • Parkville Antique Mall – About 20 minutes north of Kansas City on the Missouri River, find everything from jewelry and books to tools and décor at Parkville Antique Mall.
  • St. Joseph Antique Mart – You never know what you’ll find at St. Joseph Antique Mart. The business has received awards and features a special collection of albums. You can also find old-fashioned tools, lamps, beautiful glassware and a large selection of vintage furniture.

Southeast Missouri

  • Annie Laurie’s Eclectic Emporium, Cape Girardeau – The Annie Laurie’s Experience is one-of-a-kind; it’s a full day of shopping, dining and resting. Start at Annie Laurie’s and find the vintage treasures of your dreams. Continue the shopping experience at The Indie House across the street, which offers women-owned boutiques in addition to coffee and lunch spots. Craving an evening cocktail or mocktail? Dine at Annie Laurie’s Soirée Bar & Lounge and choose from an assortment of delectable tapas and entrees in a chill atmosphere filled with beautiful vintage fixtures. Settle in for the night at The Guesthouse. Near Annie Laurie’s, the picturesque brick home is filled with oddities and idiosyncratic décor, creating a memorable stay with modern amenities and historic charm.
  • The Old Pioneer Market, Jackson – A mother-daughter duo opened this business because of their love for yard sales, thrifting and general junking. Providing friendly service where you’ll “leave as a friend,” the business sells antiques, crafts, collectibles and miscellaneous goods.
  • Schultz Antiques, St. Mary – Find a wide range of antiques, collectibles and vintage furniture at Schultz Antiques. Midway between Ste. Genevieve and Perryville, the family-owned and -operated business invites you to visit them to see “all things rusty, dusty and rare!”

Events and Festivals

  • Hermann Antique Show (April) – The Hermann Antique Show may be one of the best-kept secrets in country antique shows today. Set in the quaint, German town of Hermann, this is Missouri’s oldest and longest-running antiques show.
  • Annual Antique and Craft Fair, Independence (July) – Attend the Annual Antique and Craft Fair on the grounds of the Historic Bingham-Waggoner Estate. Stroll through more than 100 booths featuring original crafts, antiques and outstanding collectibles.
  • Hermann Harvest Festival (September) – Attend Hermann Harvest Festival, a craft fair offering a variety of home decor, clothing, permanent jewelry, baked goods, antiques and handmade items. The event is family friendly and includes food trucks, a petting zoo and bounce houses.
  • Relics Antique Mall Amazing Garage Sale, Springfield (October) – This is a good, old-fashioned garage sale, with low-to-go prices. Boasting over 100 “garage sales” and 500 permanent booths, there will be electronics, clothes, sporting goods, used furniture, tools, discounted antiques, collectibles, and much more.  You never know what the sellers will unearth from their basements, garages and attics!  
  • Perry County antique events – The charming Perry County hosts Downtown Cruise-In select dates throughout the year. The event is in Perryville’s Downtown Square and includes antique trucks, cars, and motorcycles. Hosted in May, Old Timer’s Day in Altenburg is fun for the entire family. Enjoy old-time activities, including blacksmith demonstrations and wagon rides; see vintage tractors, antique farm machinery, and steam engines; and fill the rest of your day with games, crafts and food. Farming enthusiasts will appreciate the Annual Antique Tractor Ride the month of July. The popular event showcases beautifully restored antique tractors as they parade through the scenic countryside of Perry County.

Old-Fashioned Places to Stay

  • EC Reed’s Hotel with Soda Shop and Luncheonette, Marble Hill – Stay at this boutique, family-run hotel with modern amenities. EC Reed’s Hotel includes a mercantile and retro luncheonette with a soda fountain.
  • Main Street Inn B&B, Ste. Genevieve – Originally built in 1882 as the Meyer Hotel, the red-bricked Main Street Inn B&B has long been considered one of the finest bed and breakfast establishments in southeast Missouri. Renovations maintained the building’s 19th-century bones while bringing it into the 21st century with design and amenities.
  • The Raphael Hotel, Kansas City – The Raphael Hotel, Autograph Collection by Marriott is a luxury boutique hotel with European-style inspiration. Housed in a significant historic landmark, the hotel delivers a unique blend of vintage hospitality and modern service.
  • Rockwood Motor Court, Springfield –Stay at Rockwood Motor Court, where “traveling is about the journey.” Located on Route 66, the historic rooms have been providing travelers a cozy place to lay their heads since 1929. The renovated rooms remain true to their vintage roots, giving you an authentic motor court experience. The first owner also built a Shell Oil Filling Station on the property, and the current owners transformed it into a gas station-themed rental unit.
  • Tuxedo Park STL, Webster Groves – A one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast spanning over a century of occupation, Tuxedo Park invites you to stay in a former church that’s listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Boasting original stained glass, 24-foot ceilings and Victorian-era décor, the beautiful property provides delicious, home-cooked breakfasts and private rooms with en-suite baths.
