Family Fun on the Farm

See Photo Location

Every fall when the leaves start turning and the air gets crisp, the harvest season has a way of pulling us back to the farm. Give in to the impulse and experience a taste of country living with the whole family at Beggs Family Farm in Sikeston.

There is so much to experience, the day will fly by. In fact, it will take you at least four hours to experience all the activities the Beggs family offers.

  • Shop for farm-grown pumpkins, squash and gourds.
  • Tour the farm animal displays filled with chickens, pigs, sheep and goats.
  • Meet Betsy the Milk Cow.
  • Take a turn on the Cotton Pick’n Slide, created from a farm combine.
  • Explore the miner maze, corn maze, western town and wooden play fort.
  • Ride the Barnyard Express.
  • Watch the pig races.
  • Mine for “gems.”
  • Make your way through Obstacle Town and Phobie’s Farm haunted house and boo barn.
  • Burn off some energy in the laser and paintball arcades.
  • Try your skills with pumpkin tether ball, hillbilly bowling, corn hole and wall ball.
  • Slide out of the hay loft in the cow barn.
  • Play a round of Mining Putt Putt.

Check the farm’s website for specific hours of operation.

Add a little extra time to your farm adventure – head 10 minutes down the road to Beggs Berry World to stock up on fresh produce, preserves, wine and baked goods. If the kids are still awake, they’re sure to scream for Beggs’ homemade ice cream.

A day filled with fresh air, homegrown and homemade goodies, and tons of family fun – sounds like the perfect harvest celebration.
