A Celebration of Community, Cinema, and Preservation

The Route 66 Theater has been a cultural anchor for Webb City and the surrounding region for eight decades. As one of the few remaining historic theaters still operating in Missouri, it continues to serve as a gathering place for families, film lovers and community members of all ages.

A Community Milestone

March 2026 marked the 80th Anniversary Celebration is part of a broader effort to uplift and preserve historic theaters in the region. Great Wonders Productions, a Webb City-based nonprofit cinematic arts organization, is proud to partner with the Route 66 Theater as part of its ongoing mission to support cinematic arts, expand cultural opportunities and bring high‑quality film experiences to Southwest Missouri, including the annual Great Wonders Uplift Film Fest.
