Enjoy the great outdoors in beautiful Warsaw, MO!

The Warsaw Riverfront Trails feature a beautifully connected 11 to 12-mile linear park system along the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Combining paved asphalt and chat-gravel paths, this network links multiple waterfront parks, historic structures, and scenic overlooks.

Core Trails of the Riverfront System

The network consists of several distinct, connecting routes that suit different paces:
  • Drake Harbor Trail: An accessible waterfront path spanning roughly 1.1 miles. It acts as the central hub of the trail system and runs alongside the bustling Drake Harbor marina.
  • Osage Trail: A 1.4 to 1.5-mile path stretching south from Steamboat Landing. It traces the riverbanks closely through shady bottomland forests.
  • Kickapoo Island Trail: A 1.9 to 2.0-mile easy-to-intermediate segment accessible by crossing south over the river.
  • Bledsoe Ferry Trail: A 2.0-mile trail that heads north from the main suspension bridge toward the Truman Lake Dam.
Key Highlights & Features
  • Joe Dice Swinging Bridge: This historic 600-foot-long pedestrian suspension bridge was originally built in 1928. It serves as the primary connection point linking the trails on both sides of the river.
  • Wildlife and Scenery: The trails wind along Ozark bluffs and greenways, making them prime spots for viewing bald eagles, waterfowl, and deer.
  • Park Amenities: Scattered along the system are a nine-hole disc golf course, an amphitheater, picnic areas, and boat launch ramps.
  • Downtown Proximity: The trails sit just one block away from Warsaw’s historic downtown area, allowing easy access to local restaurants and shops.

Throughout the unique trail system there are a nine-hole disc golf course, horseshoe pits, pickleball court, numerous picnic and play areas, an amphitheater, festival areas, a gazebo, boat launch areas, boat slips, Sports Complex and Truman Lake Dam. There are also many peaceful areas to simply relax and enjoy the flora and fauna. If you prefer to bicycle but want to travel light, there are also places to rent bikes for the day at a reasonable cost.
