Westport Ale House specializes in American beers and beer cocktails and offer an upscale sports bar menu that will include Maryland crab tater tots, specialty hamburgers (including one with pecan-smoked bacon, smoked Gouda and stout barbecue sauce), beer brats, Hawaiian hot dogs (cheddar jalapeno brat, pineapple, and house-made beerkraut on a jalapeno cheddar pretzel bun), the California chicken sandwich (grilled chicken breast, Monterey Jack cheese, chipotle salsita, avocado, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayonnaise).They have a fried chicken special on Sundays, a prime rib special on Mondays, and 1/2 price wings on Tuesdays.Desserts include Tank 7 Donuts (doughnut holes, vanilla bean ice cream, and house-cured bacon, topped with a Boulevard Pale Ale caramel glaze).A central rectangular bar dominates the room. There also are two cozy 13-foot sofas in the lounge area, or customers can be in the middle of the action at one of the community tables in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows along Broadway. The windows will open to the outdoor patio during warmer weather.
