The city of West Plains is proud to honor the area’s veterans. The Veterans Memorial located in People’s Park, dedicated May 27, 2002, includes all branches of military service. An area for Gold Star Mothers was added in 2014.
Bricks with names of veterans are placed around the memorial. There is plenty of shade and picnic tables for visitors use.
