Archie and Gracie Vanderhoef Memorial State Forest offers a large parking area, privy, and a maintained hiking trail that winds through this mature hardwood forest, through a warm season grass field, and along the South Fork of the Spring River. There is also a small viewing blind that looks out over the stream.
