Stifel Theatre is the latest incarnation of the 1934 Municipal Auditorium complex that later became known as Kiel Auditorium and more recently, the Peabody Opera House.
The ornate main theatre features approximately
3,100 seats, and 12 luxury boxes; a two-story front lobby, constructed entirely of Tennessee and Ste. Genevieve marble; four small side theaters or halls; and an exposition hall.
Productions include Broadway theatricals, comedy shows, concerts and family show. Stifel Theatre is in downtown St. Louis, adjacent to the Enterprise Center, two blocks from the Union Station complex, approximately a mile from Busch Stadium and the Gateway Arch.
Tours of the facility are available for groups by reservation only; must be booked at least two weeks in advance. Tour rate is $10 per person for groups of 10-19 people and $8 per person for groups of 20 or more.
