This park is home to Missouri’s largest remaining tallgrass prairie, as well as a herd of reintroduced bison. Park interpreters offer regular programs and events, including guided tours to see the bison. Visitors can also explore the prairie on their own thanks to a series of hiking trails. Other park features include primitive campsites, a nature center and a picnic area.

Prairie State Park is southwest of Liberal in Barton County. Pets are allowed only in certain areas. See the website for more information.
