This log house, built in 1837, was the home of Col. Nathan Boone and his wife, Olive. Nathan was the son of Daniel Boone and a military officer and early developer of Missouri. Olive was the caretaker of the homestead and the children. Nathan and Olive lived in the house until their deaths in the 1850s. The site features two cemeteries, a small picnic area, a picnic shelter, a fishing pond and hiking trails.
Access to the grounds is free. Guided tours of the Boone home are available for a fee. Visit the official website or call the historic site for more information.
