Mount Pleasant Estates Winery — Augusta
Founded in 1859, Mount Pleasant Winery is within the Augusta Appellation, the first federally designated viniculture district in the United States. The tasting room offers samples and sales. Award-winning estate-bottled wines and ports are aged in our original limestone cellars. A 45-minute, guided tour is available April thru October, Saturdays and Sundays, at noon and 1 p.m. Private tours are available year-round, by appointment. Enjoy a bottle of wine while relaxing under the trees on our large, terraced patios. Picnic foods can be purchased at the winery. The winery features an indoor restaurant with a serene atmosphere and spectacular views of the Missouri River Valley. There is entertainment year-round, including live music, wine classes, winemaker dinners, and holiday-themed events. Join the wine club for extra savings and special events. See website for event schedules. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and January 1. Bring in an empty bottle from any winery and receive 10 percent off (bottle for bottle) of your take-home wine purchase. Bring in as many bottles as you like. No outside food or beverages of any kind may be brought onto the winery’s grounds.
