This is the burial site of educator William Jewell and his nephew, Missouri Gov. (1875-77) Charles Henry Hardin.
Neatly cut but unmarked headstones are believed to be the last resting places of people who were enslaved by these families. This facility is managed by Rock Bridge Memorial State Park.
