Boone's Lick State Historic Site

As early as 1805, Nathan and Daniel Morgan Boone, sons of famed frontiersman Daniel Boone, processed salt from Boone’s Lick Spring. A trail with interpretive panels leads to the spring. Picnic sites are available.

The site is 13 miles northwest of Boonville on Highway 187, off Route 87. It is unstaffed and is managed by Arrow Rock State Historic Site.
