This is a small campground located on the Katy Trail in Bluffton. Five primitive campsites and four pull-through sites with 30-amp electric and water in lower main campground and several primitive campsites on the upper ridge campground are available. Two small air conditioned camp cabins (sleeping only, no running water; use campground facilities) and one deluxe cabin with private shower and kitchenette are available by reservation.
An on-site refreshment stand is open during the season with cold drinks, shaved ice, snacks and pre-packaged sandwiches available to purchase. Bagged ice, firewood (supply varies), a few emergency bicycle repair items and air for your bike tires are also available.
The camping season length varies somewhat but is generally mid-April through the first week of November as the change of season weather conditions allow. The self-check-in system allows you to register at any time upon your arrival. Fill out the form located in the black box on the right front wall of the refreshment stand; then follow the posted instructions.
The campground is located 10 miles west of the junction of Missouri routes 19 and 94; 12 miles from the wineries, coffee shops and other attractions of historic Hermann. Walk the trail on the north side of the upper campground to the Grand Bluff Conservation Area scenic overlook platform for an expansive view of the Missouri river valley.
