Mark your calendars for the 44th annual Kennett Jaycees BBQ Cookoff on May 8-9th, 2026! The Kennett Jaycees are excited to sponsor this family-friendly event that promises to be fun for all ages.
The Kennett Jaycees BBQ Cookoff is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event, and it will feature competitions in chicken, ribs, pork and brisket categories. The top 5 placements in each category will be awarded cash prizes, so you can expect fierce competition among some of the best pitmasters in the country.
The event will also feature a carnival, demolition derby and live entertainment on both Friday and Saturday nights, making it the perfect way to spend a weekend with family and friends.
