Take in America’s biggest patriotic celebration by visiting Rich Hill, Missouri’s “Famous for the 4th” celebration! This multi-day celebration consists of a carnival, parade, fireworks display, world record pie auction, and outstanding FREE entertainment! This year’s main stage entertainment act is the nationally known recording artist SAWYER BROWN group!
The entire celebration is widely known, attended by thousands, and takes place in a SW Missouri town of only 1400 people! Rich Hill is located on I-49 about midway between Joplin, Kansas City, and Pittsburg, Kansas. Their pie auction has appeared in the 2012 Guinness Book of World Records as setting a world record for the “Highest Priced Pie Sold at Auction”, bringing $3,100 (and has since even surpassed THAT mark locally). The parade and carnival, complete with great food booths, are reminiscent of the America’s “Good Old Days”, and the fireworks display on the night of July 4th is known to be one of the best around!
