Come visit West Plains and experience over three minutes of totality for the April 8, 2024, solar eclipse! To celebrate our good fortune of being in the path of totality, we’re putting on a party, and you’re invited. It’s a four-day festival leading up to and including the big event which will occur in West Plains at 1:54 p.m. CDT.
Here is a sneak peek of the partial lineup of events. The party kicks off Friday evening, April 5, with a concert at the West Plains Civic Center. Other weekend events include a 5K run at Galloway Park, farmers market, food trucks and vendors, Cosmic Carnival for kids, duck races, a neon parade through historic downtown West Plains, art events, stock car racing and fireworks at Legit Speedway, a hot air balloon glow event hosted by the Child Advocacy Center and more!
