The Collins Pie Festival happens every year near the end of August, rain or shine, at the City Hall Pavilion area (1604 Main Street, Collins, MO). It’s free to attend, family-friendly and fun-packed from morning till evening.
Here’s a deeper look at what you can expect on the big day:
• Pie Contest — Bakers enter their best creations in categories like fruit, cream and specialty. Judges (usually local volunteers) award points based on taste as well as presentation. You can enter your own pie or try constants pie in our pie by the slice sale!
• Pie Eating Contest — A messy, hilarious highlight! Contestants race to devour a slice of pie (hands behind their backs, of course). It’s chaotic fun that draws a big crowd.
• Classic Car Show — All makes and models welcome! Register your ride and show it off. Trophies for 1st through 3rd and goody bags while they last! It’s a big draw for car folks touting near 150 cars annually.
• Vendors & Food — Local vendors sell handmade goods, plus plenty of delicious food trucks. The star of course is the pie slices available for purchase. Eat as much as you can handle!
• Live Music & Street Dance — A DJ plays throughout the day and live music follows in the evening, often turning into a fun street dance.
• Kids’ Activities — Games, bounce house and other fun activities to keep the little ones happy. Don’t forget the cotton candy!
• 50/50 Raffle & Other Fundraisers — Great chance to win some cash while supporting the causes. Don’t forget our silent auction with an always amazing amount of variety!
• And of course… PIE! — We’re talking dozens of homemade pies. Favorites include classic apple, cherry, pecan, chocolate chess, coconut cream, and wild entries orange sickle or Kool-Aid pie! Don’t miss your chance to purchase one of our winning pies at the pie auction!
We’re now looking forward to the 2026 Collins Pie Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2026, starting at 8 a.m. Details and contest rules, registration for the car show or pie entries, and vendor spots will start being posted soon.
