Since 1947, the Puxico VFW Post 7822 has hosted the annual Homecoming, a week-long celebration that brings residents and former residents of Puxico, located in Stoddard County, Missouri, back together for a true “coming home” experience. Held each August, the event fills the streets of Puxico with carnival rides, a parade, live music, square dancing, beauty pageants, class reunions, and the town’s famous goatburgers. Highlights include the Berry-Glenn Historical Museum’s annual quilt display, a golf classic, a Goat Run, and nightly entertainment in Veterans Park. Whether you’re a former resident renewing old friendships or a visitor experiencing small-town Missouri tradition, the Puxico Homecoming offers something for everyone on the midway.
