Back in 1964 Vernon & Mary Ann Byrd purchased a pecan farm that needed lots of TLC. They didn’t have a lot of money but they had a dream and passion to pursue that dream building that we now have, which has a 600-acre beautiful pecan grove. In 2014, granddaughter Jennifer had her own dream and the two became one. She opened a bakery and restaurant in Adrian just off I-49 about 40 minutes south of Kansas City. You can shop the retail of several options of candied pecans and pressed oil straight from our pecan farm, but that is not all. There is a full scratch breakfast menu served all day, specialty coffee, sandwiches, salad, soup, bakery items, homemade ice cream, and how about choosing among 14 flavors of pecan pie to blend up a slice with the homemade vanilla ice cream into a milkshake? And hopefully you can learn a thing or two about the pecan farm while enjoying great food.
